In Queen of Painting Series Pola Dwurnik comes back to her probably most famous large self-portrait
I Am Married to Painting from 2006, which she based on four portraits of Queen Elizabeth I of England.

In the series of gouaches on paper the artist plays with the concept again.
Each drawing (with a few exceptions) is now based on one specific portrait of Queen Elizabeth I.
Also, other motives and associations from the art history appear.
